Some small event's put forth by WCS only require a small amount of collateral however they can offer up some interesting opportunities. 

Bronx Zoo Overnight was a small, 1 day project with only a few items that would represent the identity. The result was a product I was quite satisfied with.

The Business Services wing of the Wildlife Conservation Society approached our department with a request to rebrand a dining location at the Bronx Zoo. With the identity work success at the Zoo Brews location we were asked to present similar solutions for this restaurant. Their hope was to capitalize further off their success selling chicken products. 

After some preliminary discussions we developed 4 directions. These options ranged from a southern style chicken joint to a New England themed diner. The concepts could be used to drive menu selection, food presentation and help with the selection of vendors for the food items that would be sold from the shop. 
 

White Plains Rugby is a D1 Men's League team with more than 40 years of competitive history. Through the years their identity had shifted a number of times, however, the players and staff remained unsatisfied with their presentation. I was originally tasked with developing a new logo, but the project expanded to a full brand adjustment. 

The identity now thrives across the team's branded items and has become a functional part of the team's culture. 

Typically the work for WCS is focused on defining tight brand standards and finding unique ways to work within those guidelines. Temporary events like Brew at the Zoo offers great opportunity to push the guidelines in ways that Leadership normally is hesitant to try out. 

Brew at the Zoo is one of the few after hour events at the Bronx Zoo. This offer visitors a unique experience at the park while it offers the Zoo a new venue for conservation outreach. The identity was composed so that each year could feature a focus on a different animal with that change represented in the logo. Similarly, the signage package was produced and assembled with interchangeability as it's core focus. 

 

Work at WCS offers many opportunities for great creative even when the scope of the project's are extremely limited. 

Wild Encounters is the pending title for a new experience at the Bronx Zoo that will get you closer to the animals. The concepts pitched here aim to separate the common zoo experience from the enhanced experience offered by Wild Encounters. 

Option 1 aims to utilize the bold colors and patterns found in the wild world. The striking vibrant composition will work well when viewed in realistic situations. The use of a painted background allows for better color and tone control while separating the composition from looking too much like an animal pelt. (An issue the Wildlife Conservation Society is sensitive to.)

Option 2 aims uses engaging, direct photography to express how much closer Wild Encounter's could be. With experiences ranging from behind the scenes tours and tractable animal encounters, option 2 offers a more direct solution. 

A new café for the Bronx Zoo that will focus on selling bird friendly, shade grown coffee.
